IntraOral Scanner

A digital scanner takes digital models of your teeth. With every new patient visit, and once a year for our routine patients, we provide a free scan of your teeth. It’s a comfortable and quick scan, but it provides us with a lot of information. We evaluate the scan with our patients and closely look at their mouth and teeth. At every update, we compare to the original scan to see if anything has changed. It’s an accurate way of capturing and valuating teeth.

Oral exam and Digtal x-rays

Oral exams can help detect a variety of issues including cavities, gingivitis, and alignment problems. We make clinical diagnoses by inspecting your teeth, gums, bite, and jawbone, both visually and through digital X-rays. Early detection and treatment can save unnecessary discomfort, time, and money. 

Digital x-rays are important to us, because they provide a complete story of your mouth. Digital X-rays can detect cavities, infections, periodontal disease, and even underlying bone disorders which can be missed by the naked eye. As a benefit to the patient, the digital X-ray also provides nearly 80% less radiation than a standard X-ray. 

vizilite pro- cancer screening

An important aspect of dental exams include an oral cancer screening. At our office, we use advanced technology to screen your mouth for potential signs of oral cancer. Vizilite Pro uses a proven, optically based technology called, "fluorescence technology", that provides the clinician an aid in visualization of oral cancer, pre-cancer and other abnormal lesions. While this is an elective procedure, we recommend its application at least once a year.

fluoride treatment

Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral in some food, plants, and seawater. In dentistry, Fluoride is used in gel, foam, or varnish form to protect teeth from cavities. In our office, we use a highly effective level of Fluoride as topical therapy, recommended in children and adults at every dental visit. Fluoride helps strengthen susceptible teeth to cavities, while reducing sensitivity in teeth with recession or larger restorations.
